Questions
Before you send your list.
Tap Add to request on any wine, as many as you like. Then Review and send at the bottom of the screen, fill in your name and a number, and send it on WhatsApp or by email. Nothing is charged from this page.
No. It is a request. We come back to you on what we can get and what it costs, and then you decide. Nothing is bought and nothing is held by sending it.
Because we do not list them yet. 16 of the 222 wines here are on our own list today and show our price. The rest say Price to be determined — send them through and we will quote you once we have found the wine.
Tim Atkin MW tastes just under 2,000 South African wines a year and marks them out of 100. Everything on this page scored 95 or better, or won one of his awards. The scores and the awards are his, quoted with attribution; the line under each wine is ours.
Not always, and we would rather say so here than guess. Some are tiny allocations, and 9 are Cape Winemakers Guild auction lots — one-off bottlings that are hard to come by at any price. Finding out is exactly what we come back to you about.
Not always, and it is worth knowing why. Producers photograph their current release, and Tim often rates a vintage that has already been superseded. The vintage on the card is the wine. Where we know the photograph shows a different one, the tile says so. Treat the picture as the label, not the bottle.
Collection is free at all three of our stores:
George · 80 York Street
Hartenbos · Shop 2, New Mere Group Building,
34 Kaap de Goede Hoop Avenue
Mossel Bay · Shop 28, Bayview Shopping Centre, Da Nova
We courier nationwide too. The courier and what it costs go into the quote we come back with, so there is nothing to work out here.
The scores come from Tim Atkin’s 2025 report and stand for the year. Availability moves week to week, which is why we confirm what we can get before anything is charged.
Yes. Add the wines and send it again from the same phone. It keeps the same request code and the new list replaces the old, so please do not start a fresh one.

Send us the list and we’ll come back with what we can get and what it costs. Nothing is bought or reserved by sending this.
Leave the leading nought off — the dialling code goes in the box beside it.
